Wholesome Ragi Delight

Ingredients

Per Serving
  • Ragi flour (finger millet flour): 5 tsp
  • Water: 1 cup
  • Cardamom powder: a pinch
  • Salt: a pinch (optional)
  • Ghee or coconut oil: 1 tsp
  • Finely sliced almonds: few (for garnish)

Note: 1 cup = 200 ml, ½ cup = 100 ml, 1 tsp = 5 gm, 1 tbsp = 15 gm

*tsp = teaspoon, tbsp = tablespoon

Method

  • In a bowl, mix ragi flour with a little water to form a smooth paste without lumps.
  • Bring 1 cup water to a boil in a saucepan and reduce heat.
  • Slowly add the ragi paste while stirring continuously.
  • Cook for 5–7 minutes until it thickens to a porridge consistency.
  • Add cardamom powder and salt if desired.
  • Stir in ghee or coconut oil.
  • Garnish with sliced almonds and serve warm.
