Paneer Kheer
Per Serving
- Skim Cow’s Milk : ½ cup
- Grated skim Paneer (cottage cheese) : ¼ cup
- Sugar substitute: ¼ tsp
- Cardamom powder: a pinch
- Saffron : few strands
Note: 1 cup = 200 ml, ½ cup = 100 ml, 1 tsp = 5 gm, 1 tbsp = 15 gm
*tsp = teaspoon, tbsp = tablespoon
- Heat the milk in a non – stick pan with broad bottom. Cook on medium flame for 5 – 6 minutes or until boils. Keep the milk aside.
- Once cooled add sugar substitute and cardamom and mix well. Garnish with saffron strands.
- Now add the grated paneer and mix well. Refrigerate for atleast one hour.
- Serve chilled.
- Paneer kheer is a high protein and sugar-free variety of kheer.
- It is a better dessert alternative for people with Diabetes to manage their sweet cravings over the traditional rice kheer which is high in calories and sugar.
