Oats Apple Phirni

  • Coarsely powdered Rolled oats: 2 tbsp. (30gm)
  • Grated apple: ¼ cup (unpeeled)
  • Skim Cow’s Milk: ¾ cup
  • Sugar Substitute: ¼ tsp

 

Note: 1 cup = 200 ml, ½ cup = 100 ml, 1 tsp = 5 gm, 1 tbsp = 15 gm

*tsp = teaspoon, tbsp = tablespoon

  • Heat the milk in a non – stick pan with broad bottom. Bring it to bowl.
  • Add Oats and mix well. Cook for another two minutes while mixing continuously.
  • Remove from the flame. Now add the sugar substitute. Mix well and allow it to cool slightly.
  • Add the apple, mix well and refrigerate for atleast half an hour.
  • Serve chilled.
  • With natural sweetness of apple, this recipe is perfect for diabetics to satisfy without causing blood sugar spike.
  • While the soluble fiber content from oats provides satiety and helps to keep blood sugar level steady.
