Cabbage Green Peas Soup
Per Serving
- Cabbage, chopped: 2 tbsp
- Green peas: 2 tbsp
- Onion chopped: 1 tsp
- Garlic cloves, minced: ¼ tsp
- Cumin seeds : ¼ tsp
- Soya Sauce : ¼ tsp
- Vegetable Stock : 2/3 cup
- Corn Flour : ½ tsp
- Oil: 1/2 tsp
- Pepper : ¼ tsp
- Salt : a pinch
Note: 1 cup = 200 ml, ½ cup = 100 ml, 1 tsp = 5 gm, 1 tbsp = 15 gm
*tsp = teaspoon, tbsp = tablespoon
- Combine soya sauce and cornflour in ½ cup water and keep aside
- Heat the oil in a pot over medium heat. Add the cumin seeds and sauté until they splutter.
- Add the chopped onions and minced garlic and sauté until the onions turn translucent.
- Add the chopped cabbage and green peas, pepper and salt and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
- Add vegetable broth and mix well. Now add soya sauce – cornflour mixture, mix well and cook on high flame for 2-3 minutes while stirring continuously.
- Reduce the heat and let the soup simmer for few minutes or until the vegetables are soft.
