Soothing Turmeric Honey Tea
Per Serving
- Water : 1.5 cup
- Turmeric powder : ½ tsp
- Black Pepper powder : ¼ tsp
- Manuka Honey : 1 tsp
- Fresh lemon juice : 1 tsp
Note: 1 cup = 200 ml, ½ cup = 100 ml, 1 tsp = 5 gm, 1 tbsp = 15 gm
*tsp = teaspoon, tbsp = tablespoon
- In a pot, boil the water.
- Add the turmeric powder to the pot and stir well.
- Reduce the heat to low and let the tea simmer for 10-15 minutes.
- Remove the pot from heat and strain the tea to remove any lumps.
- Stir in the honey and fresh lemon juice.
- Pour the tea into a cup and enjoy.
- Both turmeric and Manuka honey have anti-inflammatory properties, which can help reduce inflammation in the lungs and improve lung function.
- Additionally honey and lemon juice provide health benefits like soothing sore throat and support immune function.
